Excursion into the brains of Boite Pac 🧠

Jan 17, 2024

We were in the midst of a disconnection policy during the annual recaps of 2023, so we will proceed from there. That said, we believe it is still too early for the big topics (our minds still feel like they are on vacation!), which is why we preferred to play interviews with the team from Boite Pac to get back in the groove.

🚀 What can we find in your development plan for 2024?

- The desire to push the concept of inclusivity even further in all our support;

- A deep dive into gender equity, maternity, and feminism;

- Time to explore even further the concept of well-being at work (by the way, we have an à la carte workshop on the topic that I highly recommend!)

📚 Your current read, or one you can’t wait to start?

A recommendation from Alexe that I already love: Braving the Wilderness by Brené Brown. And it will be immediately followed by a recommendation from Marie: The Banality of Gunfire by Mali Navia

🎙 What’s playing in your ears at the start of this year?

My favorite podcasts on repeat: On Purpose with Jay Shetty, Boob to Food - The Podcast, After Bedtime with Big Little Feelings, The Salty Club Podcast

📣 If the Quebec government allowed you to establish a law in 2024, what would it be?

Facilitate the immigration process for people from around the world. And I would probably ask for 2 months of vacation for everyone, while we’re at it!

☕️ Topics you always enjoy discussing?

Immigration and expat life, responsible tourism, the beauty and less beautiful aspects of maternity, the well-being of women, the latest documentaries that have moved you, etc.!

🚀 What can we find in your development plan for 2024?

- Creating a fun newsletter to read (I hope you’re having fun right now)

- Participating in the B Corp Retreat in Vancouver that brings together B Corps from North America.

- Posting a bit more on LinkedIn

📚 Your current read, or one you can’t wait to start?

No Rules Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention by Reed Hastings and Erin Meyer. A treat for anyone who is passionate about organizational culture.

🎙 What’s playing in your ears at the start of this year?

Podcasts about well-being at work, especially when Sonia Lupien is involved. Here’s a fantastic interview with the neuroscientist to listen to.

📣 If the Quebec government allowed you to establish a law in 2024, what would it be?

B Corps have financial incentives such as enticing tax returns 🤑.

☕️ Topics you always enjoy discussing?

The 4-day workweek and how much simpler and more realistic it is than we think, B Corps of course, and everything related to a healthy workplace culture.

👋 This is a glimpse of our monthly newsletter. If you want to take a deeper dive into the minds of Judith, Alexe, and Marie, it's here.
